The Olympic Legacy for Our Kids


We know we need to get our kids up and moving. They need to be more physically active. But, if they have been couch potatoes for the past 6, 8 or 12 years, how do we motivate them to change. Stick with me, I have some thoughts.

But first, speaking of moving around: I’m going to going to Manitoba in April, doing some workshops in Brandon. And in May I’ll be in Kingston and Barrie Ontario. I am looking forward to both these trips and should you want to take advantage of my proximity to your location and hold professional development event, a public workshop or involve me in a conference just let me know.

The Olympics just ended and we have a short break before we enjoy the Paralympics. What is the legacy for our children? What do we do next? I believe this can be the way we motivate our kids to become active.

Our kids need exercise.
Children are turning into couch potatoes.
We need to deal with the problem of child obesity.
