P — is a parenting plan

U — is unconditional love

R — is respect for your child as he is right now

E — is encouragement

  • These make up the framework of any books or articles that will come from Parenting Today. These four pillars are the essential ingredients for raising healthy children who will develop into capable young men and women.Kathy recognizes that raising children today is much different than when we were raised.  She wants parents to have access to as much information as possible on the many forms child raising can take so they can provide the best  help for their child and choose the child-raising strategies that will work best for them.

  1. Hi Kathy,

I Hope you’re well. I’m wondering if you are available to do an interview this evening on how to explain traumatic events to children. This in regards to the Campbellton NB snake attack.

Looking to book this interview for 5:20 ET today.

Please let me know if something can be arranged.

    Many thanks!

    – Christie

Kathy do you have time to comment for a piece I am writing on imaginative play? What is the best way to contact you directly?

You can reach me at kathy@parentingtoday.ca. My phone number is 604-258-9074 but I am currently on holidays so have only limited roaming minutes. However, I am monitoring my email so you can reach me that way. I will be back in my office on the 29th. Thanks, and I hope we can make this work.

Hello Kathy very nice to meet you! I am wondering are you interested in present a speech for parents in China? We can talk more details by email or on the phone for your most convenience. Thank you!

  5. annie says:

how would you explain the relationship between a parent and a child?

  6. Kim says:

Hi Kathy. I’ve been reading about your work and I’m wondering if you could recommend a good parenting class in the lower mainland. I’m looking for my daughter and her husband. They would likely be more successful with attendance, rather than anything online.
Could you email me at cheer_bear@outlook.com.
I can fill you in a little more. They are good parents but there are some other issues creating dysfunction in the home and my daughter has reached her limit. Thanks in advance! Kim
